Utah

I was quite impressed with what I saw of southern Utah - the towns were neat and tidy, the air crisp and clean and there were spectacular sights all around in the vast expanses of open space. The colours of Bryce Canyon were superbly displayed in the bright winter's sunshine, Monument Valley (spans the border of Arizona and Utah, but I'll include it here) was much larger than expected and Zion was overwhelming in its grandness. Enjoyed a nice lunch at Ruby's Inn, Bryce Canyon. Well worth another visit in the future.
