A day tour spent at an elephant park, elephant riding, river rafting, a visit to a long-neck village, butterfly and orchid farm.

 

An enjoyable day was spent visiting an elephant park. You get a free shower too! Here's another of elephants enjoying the water. One doing a trick and one painting.

Here I am riding an elephant. An interesting ride done at a very leisurely pace. OK going uphill, but hang on going down!

Rafting down the river. This is not our guide but one of our group having a go. Drinks are available on the river. Entrepreneurial spirit lives on!

A typical rural home cooked meal. Not everything is cooked - eating live crabs is a delicacy.

A long-neck girl. The brass rings were originally applied to protect Burmese women from tiger attack. Now the long neck is a very desirable characteristic. Here's a long-neck woman working a loom.
