Milky Way field through Scorpius and Sagittarius

A star-studded field enclosing the constellations of Scorpius and Sagittarius that peers towards the centre of our Galaxy 25,000ly away. Antares and the head of the Scorpion are lower left. Numerous red emission nebulae are visible; from upper left of middle- NGC6188, IC4628 (The Prawn Nebula),  NGC6334 (The Cat's Paw Nebula), NGC6357, M8 (the Lagoon Nebula) , M17 (The Swan Nebula) and M16 (The Eagle Nebula).  It goes without saying that the field contains uncounted numbers of dark, dust clouds with many filaments weaving throughout. The dark patch upper right is the Corona Australis molecular cloud that can be seen here in close up.
