Barnard 142 and B 143, Aquila

Another two from Barnard's catalogue of dark nebulae, which are located in Aquila not far from Tarazed, and known as "Barnard's E Nebulae". Dark nebulae are regions of dense dust and gas that prevent the light of distant stars of an impressive star-studded Milky Way field from getting through.  B143 is the c-shaped region and B142 is below with what looks like streams of material heading towards the bottom left corner of the field. Distances to dark nebulae are difficult to determine, but they are generally located rather close to us - estimated distances to these nebulae are, however, 2000ly.
