A campsite beside the Goulburn River was the venue for a very relaxing and enjoyable bird camp. It was extremely pleasant waking up to the varied calls of rufous whistler, grey fantail, brown thornbill, white-throated gerygone and others. On each of the two days over 100 bird species were identified by the 30 or so birding enthusiasts who participated. The thick bushland was a challenge for getting clear shots of some species whilst the woodswallows always kept their distance when "the big eye" was pointing in their direction!

A non-bird highlight was seeing an adult koala and young in the fork of a gum tree.
